“Let’s get married!” is a russian trashy TV show about people looking for love… I don’t know how to explain, but every episode of it is so ironically funny. Maybe because we are not 45 years old lonely men and women?
Spoilers for Steven Universe S05E25 “Legs From Here to Homeworld”.
I’m not the first person to come up with this theory, but I haven’t seen it all laid out on tumblr before, and with the White Diamond and White Pearl character reveals, I have some points to add.
So, the theory:
Pearl was originally White Diamond’s Pearl.
We know that Pearl was given to Pink Diamond a few millennia ago, what if Pink Diamond wasn’t Pearl’s first Diamond?
Both the Yellow and Blue Pearls are visually similar to their corresponding Diamonds. Their gem placement is the same, their skin is a similar colour, and their hair and clothes have similar styles. Pearl’s gem placement matches that of White Diamond:

Pearl’s hair is similar to White Diamond’s, as it has 5 distinct points:
(Blue Pearl’s hair sometimes has 5 points, but Pearl’s always does.)
Pearls outfits contain similar shapes and styles to White Diamond’s. (High collar covers neck, similar bodice/corset shape, semi-transparent material covering area above bodice/corset.)
And then when I was adding this picture to that last one, I noticed something
uuuuummmmmmm……….

Anyway… So if Pearl was originally White Diamond’s Pearl, what about White Pearl?
Well, have a look at her gem placement and her outfit:
Her gem is on her belly-button - just like Pink Diamond’s. And the whole torso-part of her outfit matches Pink Diamond’s.
I even colourised White Pearl just to see, and well… see for yourself:
I made this long Twilight summary a while back but I never shared the whole thing with you tumblr. I should probably point out that I’ve only seen 2 of the movies and not read any of the books so there might be 1 or 2 teensy errors….
As a person who read the books, I can say this actually happened.
